The E Street Band opened its Land of Hope and Dreams tour on Tuesday night, where the musician asked the crowd to choose “unity over division and peace over war.”

Following his protest song "Streets of Minneapolis," the Boss brought his Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour to the Minnesota city.

This past winter, federal troops brought death and terror to the streets of Minneapolis,” Springsteen told the crowd. “Well, they picked the wrong town."

The Boss’ tour opener, set at the epicenter of Trump's immigration crackdown, was a fiercely defiant call to action.
