For the first time in more than 50 years, astronauts are on their way to the moon.

NASA’s Artemis II — the first crewed moon mission in more than half a century — is set to make its historic lunar flyby on Monday afternoon.

Their roughly six-hour lunar flyby promises views of the moon’s far side that were too dark or too difficult to see by the 24 Apollo astronauts who preceded them.
