Google has launched Ask Maps, a Gemini-powered conversational feature, alongside 3D Immersive Navigation in its biggest Maps update in over a decade.

Google Maps will depend more heavily on artificial intelligence to help people figure out where they want to go and the best way to get there as part of a major redesign unveiled on Thursday.

Gemini rolls out in Google Maps, allowing you to talk to the app like you would a chatbot. Immersive Navigation, meanwhile, will show the buildings and landmarks around you in 3D.
