DSO Bassoon and Contrabassoon Marcus Schoon has been busy practicing at home and dusting off beloved works from his long career with the orchestra: "This is an arrangement I wrote for Tears of a Clown. Former DSO Principal Bassoon Charlie Sirard (retired 1977) was the bassoon player on the original Motown recording. I got the opportunity to play this same solo when the DSO played with Smokey Robinson at DTE Energy Theatre." Marcus is also a seasoned Tai Chi instructor with Anshinkan Dojo, LLC! |
